Fantasy animated Justice Society Adventures #1 (1951), homage to Justice League Adventures issue #12

Remember the short-lived early 1950s Justice Society cartoon series, made by former Fleischer Studios animators and broadcast on the Dumont network?

...no, of course you don't, because it only exists in my head --- but if it had existed, I'd like to think that National (DC) might have put out a tie-in comic in a more cartoony style, and that it might have looked something like this.

Art by the excellent Bambos Georgiou, based on the cover of Justice League Adventures #12 - and I'll admit that I thought of this one when I caught a glimpse of the published comic, mistook the large figure at the back (actually the Snowman, I think) for Solomon Grundy, and it all fell into place.

I didn't want to use either of the two characters (Wonder Woman and the Icicle) who appear on the original cover and who might also have been part of a JSA vs Injustice Society story, so that led me to the last Golden Age JSA line-up but *without* the amazing Amazon - and I can't believe that any 1950s animated series would have been able to resist including a comic-relief magical Thunderbolt in the Justice Society. Picking a line-up for the Injustice Society was also entertaining, trying to stick to characters who were around in the Golden Age and (with the exception of Grundy) were all members of one Golden Age version or another of the villainous team.
