DescriptionOne very interesting thing about this cover (besides it being the very first appearance of the character Strange Visitor) is that for the published comic book, Superman was edited out of the image. This was so that the cover matched the cover of Superman #123, with only one central character situated to the right of center. I have attached pics of both the Superman #123 and Superman #149 published comic books to show this. But I am personally very glad that Superman is on the original art, because you get his astonished reaction to this new Strange Visitor. I'm a huge fan of Frenz Superman covers, so I was very happy to grab this one. Social/Sharing |

Haha what a great cover of Superman, looks like he’s even shocked he’s not in the published version :)

Hah! "Why am I the one who gets left off the cover?!" I like covers like these, because they tell a story about the decision making and production process and you get a bonus Superman image that comics readers never saw or even know exists. But if I owned this cover Paul, I'd really be jonesing to hunt down the Superman #123 cover now!

A real cartoony cover - compared with Frenz's earlier run at Marvel. Congrats P!

Great Frenz piece and homage to a super (pun intended) recognizable cover! Sweet inks. I actually think it's really cool that you got Supes on the left even though it wasn't published that way - makes for a nice story :) Congrats!
