Description

The second of two Space Beast painted commissions Ewan did for me, based on a super cool sci-fi alien design by Jack Kirby from Tales To Astonish #29.

Ewan (known for his online persona Ewan Ewan) does amazing work, from super-rendered realistic ball-point pen drawings, to painted work in the Simon Bisley painted realm. He's done his own creator owned comic, Gun Viking and has painted over Skottie Youngs pencils for a series of I Hate Fairyland covers.

This is the piece he did when he had second thoughts about the first one and wound up not liking it! So he went and did this completely new piece and sent me both. Pretty cool. This was is gorgeous'; I really love the colors and just the way Ewan pushes paint around. The Surfer is a hilarious touch!
