Description
Some may not know but the Shadow started in a newstrip in 1940 and shortly afterwards made the jump to comic books BUT the publisher used the newstrip art to make the pages. The artist, Vernon Greene, drew some extra panels to round out the story.

The Shadow was often drawn on vellum to enable his "disappearing" power to be demonstrated in print. condition.
