DescriptionThe Cartoon Art Museum holds an annual Sketch-a-Thon at their SDCC booth where professional comics and animation artists spend an one-hour-shift drawing for fans. The fundraiser went online this year as part of Comic-Con @ Home. Virtual convention panels were recorded and available on the Comic-Con International YouTube channel. Cartoonist Brian Fies came to my attention with A Fire Story which described the San Francisco Bay Area wildfires of 2017. Brian and his wife Karen escaped with their lives and a few possessions. Brian enlarged the work to A Fire Story graphic novel for Abrams Books.Social/Sharing |
