Here we have the pencils for the cover to the Justice Society of America #52.
I have always been a big fan of the covers for issues 52 and 53 that Mario Alberti did. I always loved the "sketchiness" of them. I had assumed they were done digitally, and that there was no physical art. Much to my surprise, Mario let me know that he did indeed layout the covers in green pencil first, and then scanned and them to be �inked and colored� digitally.
Definitely could not get one without the other, so I got both covers : )
Love the Stargirl, Dr Midnight and Hourman on this cover.
What a treat!
