Description

A splendid page by the late legend Bernie WRIGHTSON of the Studio�s fame.
This is page 33 from Punisher Point of View/P.O.V released in 1991. That�s right, it�s 30 years old by date of publication, probably more if we knew which year it was drawn by Bernie.

Punisher POV was the second collaboration between Wrightson and Jim (Thanos, Captain Marvel,�) Starlin following their successful Batman The Cult. It was a four issues mini serie.

This page shows a lower mobster meeting with the Kingpin of Crime (aka Wilson Fisk). It�s full of mood and tension as only Wrightson�s inks could convey. Look at that fifth panel, the close up on the angry eye!

This is Wrightson inking himself, not like the second Punisher he drew for Marvel Knights later during the 90s which was averagely inked by Jimmy Palmiotti. Only Wrightson could ink Wrightson.

The page is huge as well! 34 cm by 51cm (meaning roughly 13.5 by 20.5) which is a super bonus in order to appreciate Wrightson�s craft.

Lastly, the page comes signed by the master himself AND the lettering are pasted on the board (a lost art nowadays).

His art is becoming rarer and rarer on the original art market so this is a rare chance outside the insane Auction Houses premiums ;)
