DescriptionWonderful Rip Kirby daily from the 33rd storyline „The Reluctant Heiress“ with great shots of Rip and Sari Adair. This particular Daily was gifted and personally inscribed by Alex Raymond to Bob Lubbers, one of the all-time good-girl comic artists (during his illustrious career he worked on Tarzan, Long Sam, Agent X9, Robin Malone and Li‘l Abner). It’s a little bittersweet to read the dedication („To Bob Lubbers whom I regard highly as a man and an artist - His friend Alex Raymond 8-3-56) which was signed August 3rd 1956, only a month before Alex Raymond‘s untimely Death (September 6th 1956)...first published February 16th 1956...Social/Sharing |
