Adams, Neal - Pencil Portrait of Frank Frazetta

This portrait is based on the one that Neal did for the introduction to "Rock God" in CREEPY #32 (April, 1970), this piece is rendered in pencil and was received in August 2020.

When I saw the three portraits that Neal did for the introduction to "Rock God" I thought it was the coolest thing ever, and one of my very favourite pages that Neal did in his entire career. Since Neal is taking on commissions these days I thought it would be my chance to have him draw a pencil version of this portrait of Frank Frazetta.

Frazetta did his own self-portrait several times, but this one is nearly as good as the best of those, and I like it better than some of the later ones.

When Neal was preparing to draw the three pencil portraits he joked on his Live Facebook feed on July 2nd at about the 7 minute 24 second mark, "Frazetta - handsomer than me... that's very annoying, very annoying."
