DescriptionThis is the preliminary that Tony S. Daniel got approved by DC Comics for Batman 45, "The Gift Part 1". Really cool to see the creative process go from a rough mock up like this to the final version (which I also own and have posted separately). The final version is much more brooding with greater details, but you can see the similarity between the 2, including his own notes to himself translating into the execution of the final piece. As an added bonus, there is a rough full body sketch of Batman by Tony on the back, which can be seen in the second image. Fun stuff! Done on standard 11" X 17" board in pencil and ink.Social/Sharing |
