Thor by Wellinton Alves: Blueline Commission

Regrettably, this is another commission where I've lost track who it was for. Maybe Stephane Fernandez? For this and others earlier I checked my old emails but couldn't find anything. It was my 6th Thor drawn by a first timer to these here parts, Wellington Alves, who drew him in a pose but it's missing a background. I printed this up in blueline for 11"x17" 2-ply Kubert board. So I added Bi-frost, also known as the Rainbow Bridge, with cracks to hint at an approaching menace and with a starscape background as the location of Asgard is often depicted in space but via another dimension. Besides inking this in markers I used white paint spatter, zip-a-tone, a sliver of crayon or dry brush with black ink and swirls of dry brush with white paint, and X-acto blade scrapings for the kinetic lightning being wield by mjolnir. It was completed February 10, 2018.
