Description

The 1990s featured one Venom miniseries after another, and tonight I am posting the cover and an interior splash to Venom: The Hunger issue #4.

As Venom, Eddie has often said he would eat someone's brains, but this was always a joke to him. In this story, Eddie finds that the symbiote does indeed have a craving for brains and it drives him to actually consume the brains of an adversary. Horrified, Eddie doesn't know what to do and the symbiote leaves him in order to fulfill it's hunger.

I know most fans will prefer the Venom image on the right, but I'm really drawn to the profile shot on the left. I'm very intrigued by how it's rendered! Sounds like this mini-series was put out to try to play with the idea of the symbiote as the scary horror it would be in real life if it existed, as opposed to just being a symbiote that piggybacks on people in order to play supervillain.

2 splashse for the price of one :) I actually like this one a little better than the full page splash you also posted, though both are good. A nice storytelling aspect to this WITH splashes, and the inks are killer. Congrats, man!
