Description

Super Spider-Man and Captain Britain #231 -- cover dated July 13, 1977. This is the first issue in which Captain Britain appeared with Spidey and shared billing. A year later, Captain Britain was introduced to American readers and the Marvel Universe in Marvel Team-Up #65-66 (January-February 1978). So this image is the first time they appeared together on the same piece of art. And is that Captain Britain’s quarterstaff or are you just happy to see me?

Butt-kicking piece by Stan Lee's brother, some these UK-weekly Marvel "in-the-face"-covers were often more fun than the US versions becourse of the extremely long magazine titles and in this case: "Times"-headline ("CB joins action packed pages of Super-Spiderman" to quote Hulk cover 1: "is he "super" or "spider" or is he both !?!) - and all that for only 10 UK Pence :)
