DescriptionMy "Ramos Spidey Interiors" week of posts continues with this great double page spread from a very fun story that occurred while Peter was still working for Horizon Labs.Peter's co-worker Grady builds a 'Doorway to Tomorrow,' and proves it by walking through the door and bringing back a newspaper from the next day (which happens to be Tuesday). When Peter walks through the door however, he discovers a totally destroyed New York City. Darn that Parker luck! Peter realizes that the room shows how the future would be if the person who walks through it disappeared for a whole day. In other words, Peter (as Spider-Man) apparently did something crucial during that day that stopped the future destruction from happening. So, using the newspaper that Grady brought back (which they now call the "Good Tuesday" newspaper), Spidey proceeds to do everything that was printed in that paper, hoping that things will be set right. They aren't. There is a fun moment when they think they have run out of time, only to realize that the world is going to end at 3:10am, not 3:10pm. (I really need Doc Brown to step in at this point with his dry erase board). So, Peter (as Spidey) continues to do good deeds, ones that were NOT reported in the paper, which brings us (finally) to this double page spread. Here we see him swinging around the city, doing the Heimlich on a choking guy, saving some people from a rampaging tiger, and stopping a car jacker. I just love this whole action sequence. One the one hand, it's a run-of-the-mill day for our favorite neighborhood Spider-Man, but on the other hand, the whole future is on the line. Plus, you get two big panels of Spidey web-swinging over the city. What more could you want? Anyway, I'll let you read the issue to find out how it all ends. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

This confirms my thoughts I had all along. Bill Murray needs to be the next Spider-Man.

While I apreciate Humberto's style in his more recent art, I do like his storytelling abilities here, and those are some nice shots of Spidey balancing the piece. Also, your own storytelling almost makes me want to read the story. Almost... 😁

Great sense of movement in this DPS, both in terms of panel layout as well as what's going on in panel! Humberto at times doesn't get enough credit for his storytelling. AND you got a couple great swingin' Spidey shots! Congrats!
