This painting was originally published on the Fleetwood First Day Cover for the U.S. Space Achievements 18 cent "Comprehending the Universe" stamp.This beautiful painting shows the Hubble space telescope in orbit over the Earth. The published cover caption reads "Unaffected by the haze of Earth's atmosphere, an orbiting telescope views space with unequaled clarity.
