Description

In 1999, as part of one of their many "Publish a number of titles with a lose affiliation and hope someone buys them", in this case "M-Tech", Marvel released a new title called Warlock.

This dealt with Excaliburs "Douglock" discovering he was actually the original Warlock all along, though now with Cypher genes fused to his own, making his outlook on a life a little different....it's a LOOOOOONG story, and sadly the title didn't last too long, but the art is incredible, and the story generally a lot of fun. (Their two panel deconstruction of the overblown Phalanx Covenant is a gem)

This striking scene has Warlock with friends Hope (the girl) and Chee-Chee, (The just visible monkey) being confronted by the Psi-Cops, self appointed psionic vigilantes.

Lovely crisp linework and excellent inking from an artist who really "got" how Warlock could be made to look both new and classic at the same time.

Beautiful work by Pascual and it's a shame it didn't go more issues than it did. Nice splash!
