Description

A Blast from the Past! When I was in college, I was heavily influenced by Gary Larson’s “The Far Side” comic strip and Lou Reed’s song, “Walk on the Wild Side.” The result was a comic strip I created called “The Wild Side.” The hardest part was coming up with a funny, one-panel gag for each piece. But somehow, I managed to create over 300 cartoons, usually consisting of “dark humor” like the one attached here. Sadly, of all the cartoons I did during that period, I only sold one. I could truly say I knew how Van Gogh felt having only sold one painting his entire lifetime. Maybe these cartoons can find a home on social media. Enjoy!
