Description

Detective Comics #968 original cover art for "A Lonely Place of Living, Conclusion" (January 2018). Eddy Barrows does a fabulous job with this homage to the Batman 442 cover by George Perez (Tim Drake's first appearance as Robin) that also features a very similar story name ("A Lonely Place of Dying"). Barrows' Red Robin is determined and dynamic as he soars through the air, Bat logo behind him and Batman, Batwoman, and Orphan silhouetted and observing. Making the homage more interesting is the fact that Red Robin faces off against Tim Drake from a different timeline in this story. I love Barrows' attention to detail, and this Red Robin is no exception. He literally seems to be soaring off the page right at you! Pencils and copics done by Eddy Barrows, and inks done by Eber Ferreira on 11" X 17" DC art board.

Fabulous addition to your Batman collection, David! I don't collect Batman art generally speaking, but even I was still tempted to buy this one when it was first posted. A great homage of a classic cover and story!
