Description

Original preliminary cover art for the Longshot Trade Paperback, which was published by Marvel Comics in 1989. The art is by the legendary Arthur Adams, and is a classic straight-on image of Longshot! It is done in pencil on a sheet of regular paper that measures approximately 8 1/2" by 11", and is signed and dated at the bottom. Adams is a true legend, best-known for creating some of the greatest covers of the 1980's and 1990's, and into the 2000's, with classic work on Uncanny X-Men, Longshot, the Fantastic Four, Avengers, New Mutants, and so many other titles. While newer pieces are sometimes available, vintage Adams pieces rarely surface for sale, and once pieces go into collections they do not come out again. With Adams published covers out of reach for most collectors, don't miss out on a rare chance to get a classic 30+ year old Adams piece at a price below five figures.
