Holy balls.
Congrats on a huge piece. Cyke plus Wolverine, that sentinal had no shot!
Great page!
Ooh, super jealous here. What a way to start out one of my favorite comic runs ever. Quitely really knocked it out of the park during the entire series and I'll always remember page 1 here! Congrats on getting it back!
Thank you! Yes, it was quite a bit more expensive this time around, but the heart wants what the heart wants xD
Indeed, indeed! "Glad to have you back - welcome home" :)
Congrats! Glad it went back home. Fantastic start to the run!
Killer splash. Congrats!
Sockamagee!
Classic Quitely page - congrats on getting it back.
This has become a classic run, right up there with Claremont's (I wonder if Hickman's will make it to that level). Excellent example!
Thank you! And yes, it'll be interesting to see if Hickman can maintain this pace for the long run. House of X/Powers of X was the most interesting the X-Men have been since Morrison, and you can see just how much Grant influenced the current bullpen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
It doesn't get better than this. A seminal piece from a seminal run, by one of the greatest artists in the medium. Congratulations!!!!
Such a historic page! I think this was probably my first Quitely comic. Glad you were able to get it back and thanks for including a pic of the frame too. It's always cool to see how people choose to display their pieces.
This amazing page by Quitely started of his X-Men run with a real band; readers knew they were going to see something they had never seen before.
Epic and beautifully composed piece, congrats!
Fantastic page. Love the Wolverine going to town on the Sentinels decapitated body!
This is TOO COOL! Looks great framed as well!
This is as good as it gets. Beyond the wonderful technique on display, what I love most about Frank's work is how superbly and subtly he reveals the inner character of his subjects. Wolverine is hunched over and feral. Cyclops is standing tall and rigid. Everything from a pose to the design of a costume matters, and he nails every detail.
A great page from a great storyline! Love the composition. I also really liked the inking in this issue, even though I usually prefer to see artists ink themselves, in this case it was a perfect art team for this book. Congratulations!
Grant and Frank are my favorite creative team in comics history, and New X-Men is my favorite X-Men run of all time. This page is a HUGE example of what I loved so much about it! Congratulations!!!
My canidate to be the first X-Men page from the 00's to break the 100k mark. It gets no better. Excellent pickup.
I remember being so excited for this run to start because I loved the 90s cartoon but didn't like mid-late 90s X-Men comics. When I opened #114 to this splash page I just knew I was in for something special. I still get that feeling whenever I see this page at the start of a New X-Men re-read.
