DescriptionHUGE bucket list piece here.I've wanted an early '90s Sam Kieth cover for quite a while, and this one totally fits the bill. Sam Kieth draws such a cool & unique Ghost Rider, with those columns jutting from his shoulders and the exaggerated size of the gloves and that one boot. I love how Doc Strange is in the midst of casting some kind of magicks. And the inking on both characters is such a great combo of feathery ink wash and super clean lines. My favorite thing about this cover is the way Doctor Strange's cape extends to the top of the image and forms the upper border. Special thanks to P A for this one! Social/Sharing |

Oh wow, big congrats, Paul! If you were looking for a Keith example from the time...this one's hard to top IMO! His uber uniquely stylized look is on full display in terms of the exaggerated character designs but also in terms of overall layout/composition. The use of Doc's cape as you note is part of that. Wow. Really must be a sight in person!

With those giant shoulder pads and the one giant boot we all know he is gonna break into pro sports and we all know the sport.
Pickleball. If you think the spiked shoulders are a bit to much then you haven't seen the senior league around here.

Seeing this just reminds me how stupid I was to let go of my only Kieth piece. Congrats for being a lot smarter than me. Great cover!

I don't know how or by way of what dark gods you consorted to get this piece, but damn, man, putting everyone else to shame! Magnificent art!

What?! Holy smokes, what an unbelievably exciting and beautifully drawn piece. Gorgeous brushwork, especially the hair. No doubt about it Paul, this is the treasure of your collection. Outside of the first appearance of Wolverine, nothing in the hobby is as sought after as this, the 1st appearance of Gabriel, Devil-Hunter! I mean, just check out that killer eye patch! That the cover also features cameo apperances by Dr. Strange and Ghost Rider is a nice bonus, too!

I love how Keith used Dr Strange's cape. This is an awesome cover, straight out of the 90s nostalgia vault. Just great pencils and inks, and you have to love that stylized Ghost Rider. Big congrats!
