Description

Here's another one of those Saturday morning shows I loved as a kid. Sleek and metallic, with a pretty awesome rogues gallery to boot. SilverHawks captured my imagination as a kid. I loved that they could fly through space on their wings of silver (and copper).

I had at least one of the action figures, Steelwill I think. My punk-a** cousin threw him up into a fir-tree at my grandmas house one day and I never saw him again. I even had a Silverhawks sweatshirt with wings! Which I wore the crap out of of course haha.

Ah good memories, anyways. This page is cool because it features the main Hawks team: Quicksilver, Bluegrass, Steelwill, Copper Kid & Steelheart. Along with most of the main baddies: Mon*Star, Mo-Lec-U-Lar & Hardware, except for Mumbo-Jumbo & Buzzsaw (who I also had a figure of).

Why do you have to keep getting 80's cartoon intro songs stuck in my head? Is Thundercats next? Wheeled Warriors?

Ha ha, another great get! Loved Silverhawks - Thundercats in space! :) Didnt' have any of the figures, but had some of the comics so this is cool to see. And I'm not sure if you've seen it, but I've got the title splash page to issue 1 in my gallery. Not a big deal for most OA collectors I'm sure but a gem for me as it's a great looking piece that takes me back. I remember trying to draw/copy the figures on that exact page! Congrats, man - nostalgia's LEGIT ain't it?!
