Description

Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Gossamer Monster Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). "Monsters lead such interesting lives...!" An original one-of-a-kind drawing by famed Warner Brothers animator, Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Rendered on 3-peghole animation paper in graphite and colored pencil. It is inspired by the classic scene from the 1946 Chuck Jones-directed short Hair-Raising Hare starring Bugs Bunny and Gossamer the Monster (his first appearance). These drawings were done for a line of Virgil Ross-signed, limited edition cels, and he made personal appearances at the Warner Brothers Studio Stores and Animation Galleries to promote them. The artwork is signed by the artist. Daffy and Bugs stand 6" tall while Gossamer is an imposing 9". Fine condition.

Size: 12.5" x 10.5" light animation paper with 3 holes.
