Description

This was one of the original storyboard drawings (panel #107) drawn by Maurice Noble on for presentation to MGM officials for approval to produce the celebrated animated cartoon “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, directed by Chuck Jones.

We bought this years ago from a dealer who had stacks of all the storyboards for this cartoon! My wife took one stack and I took another and we looked for key images from the cartoon. I wish I'd had more money at the time, but we had already picked a couple nice Disney original paintings that had been published in books before we realized what these stacks contained. Fortunately, we each picked a great stack; others were looking through the other stacks. We were both able to get our favorite moments from the story. I feel lucky having been able to get a couple great Disney illustrations and these storyboards!
