Description

So I finally added a Stuart Immonen piece to the collection and I'm pretty happy about the page(s) that checked off that box. The obvious appeal for me of this DPS is the left side splash of Colossus and Magik, love the execution and aesthetic of him lifting her up, it's a beauty of a DPS.

A sweet DPS with both an awesome splash and some nice storytelling - Immonen's great at both. A literally uplifting shot of brother/sister on the left, knowing how much both have been through over the years. Congrats!

I will echo what these fine gentlemen (and you yourself) before me have said: that image of Colossus and Magik is complete gold (or tin, or living organic steel, or whatever). The thing that kills me (in a good way) is the look of relief and happiness on Illyana's face in that moment - something that happens far too infrequently for the character - but this moment is EARNED and DESERVED. And what a fantastic artistic team to execute it... In my eyes, there are none better. I also love the fact that future Colossus is also wielding Illyana's soulsword (a "what's up with THAT?!!?" moment that makes for fun reading, as well as another person with what we imagine to be the Eye of Agamotto, etc. Future - or "Future" - stories can be so much fun! :) )

Brilliant pick up! Congrats!
