Spectre V.3 #23 Cover

Not familiar with the artist, but dig the vibe of the painting. Cool stuff.

Wow, not sure what part you find goofy, but this is a cross between Science Fiction, Horror and it's creepy/cool as hell! I'm also blown away that it's painted by Christian Alamy. I stopped reading/collecting in 1993, so I'm not too familiar with him, but wasn't he just breaking in around this time and primarily worked as an inker? This is pretty high level stuff as far as comic book painted cover art goes.

This paiting has a vellum overlay to protect it.  Christian Alamy drew a little thought bubble on it saying "What am I pointing at?"  I think that's why I came up with goofy.  I think he was just getting started, but the Spectre series used a lot of new and European artists to do the covers.

The more I try to explain what's happening here, the more disturbing the possible answers. Brilliant! Congrats.

Holly Smokes!  I never heard of this artist but this is real clean.  Great touch.
