Description
Page 3 from issue 3 of the current volume of Criminal (this is the second part of what became "Bad Weekend"). I'm a huge fan of Sean's & Ed Brubaker's storytelling, their work together always delivers. Love the connections between crime, comics, artists and comic art in this storyline! I think many childhood readers of comics can especially relate to panels 1 & 2.

Love the comic-within-a-omic theme Brubaker and Phillips reinvent every couple years, with no loss of seriousness or suspense in the primary stories they occur within.  They say an author should write what he knows, and Brubaker knows comics!  This is a great looking page from a super story

Heart-achingly beautiful. The most memorable page of one my favourite comics of the last five years: Bad Weekend (I missed the Criminal issues), which is essential reading for all comic fans/original comic art devotees. You have a nice selection from BW but this takes the cake. Mark takes the pages off his website when they are sold so thank you for posting; I will always know where to look if I want to see this.

Thank you for sharing your personal reaction to Sean & Ed's storytelling - they are masters at what they do. I competely agree with your opinion on the emotional power of comics and comic art.
