Description

Thom Zahler, perhaps best known for Love and Capes and other romcom comics, drew classic comic couples each day during February. The pieces were then offered to his Patreons at a discount and remaining pieces are placed in his store.

Before starting his drawing, he asked for suggestions. I nominated S&S for his list. I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one that would ask for that couple and I'm equally sure that made buying it easier. :)

For those that don't know, S&S were inspired by Sheldon Mayer who was DCs best editor for years before he stepped aside to become a full-time freelance cartoonist. It was in that capacity that he created a series about two toddlers - Sugar Plumm and Cecil "Spike" Wilson - who were inspired by his own children - Lanny and Merrily. In the series, S&S learned about the world the hard way - exploring! They could talk to themselves and other babies, but no one else could understand them. The series is delightful and worth reading.

It's also worth noting that Rugrats was at least partially inspired by S&S.
