Description

Jorma Pitkänen a.k.a. Jope (b. 1947) is by far the most productive Finnish comic strip artist with more than 20 syndicated comic strips and way over 20,000 dailies since the early 1970´s. One of his best-known characters is Lempi, an unconventional old lady with anti-bureaucratic attitude and appreciation for the simple joys of life (e.g. beer). The comic strip ran in Finland for 20 years and over 5,000 dailies between 1980 and 2000.
