Description
A wonderful side-by-side example today of Nagel’s process.

Nagel’s original pencil drawing of a model with high collar coat and scarf is on artist tissue on left. Measuring 7” x 8.” On right the same image appears as a black ink on illustration board, with an image area of 14.5” x 18” on a 20” x 30” board.

I sourced the graphite drawing for the owner/collector of the black line. Black lines were Created and prep typically for a serrigraph, this was likely done late 1983 just prior to his death. No print was ever completed.

What Nagel are you dreaming of? I run PatrickNagelArts on Instagram and have access to many private collections. Most pieces will never be seen at auction. If you’re interested in drawings, paintings on board, or canvases feel free to reach out. I also specialize in lifetime released limited edition graphics and signed posters. Thank you
