Description

Thus week I am continuing my theme of classic Avengers team members.

Avengers #16 (1965) introduced us to a new Avengers team roster that included the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Hawykeye.

I have to admit, I'm a big fan of this look for the Scarlet Witch. I was so happy to be able to acquire this cover to the 1st issue of her limited series where she fights a host of demons.

I remember when I first saw this cover, I swear my first thought was "Why would they put the Wasp on the cover of a Scarlet Witch mini-series?! So cool that you snagged the first issue cover, natch!

It's true, she has a definite Wasp look to her, hair-style and costume-wise. Which is probably another reason why I love this cover, as I am a huge fan of the Wasp.

Get those demons, Wanda! I like the design, too. A little Wasp, with a dash of Rachel Summers, too, imo. I also like how Higgins represented her power. Cool #1 issue snag! This is a nostalgic trip for me, too. Congrats!

Incredible pickup. Im an enormous fan of this version of Scarlet Witch and I adore this series as well as Force Works. I had Dima Ivanov do me a commission of her in this outfit.
