Description

This cover was fully finished by Ernie Chan in 1976 and intended to be used for the published version of Batman #283 with a cover date of January 1977. However, a few minor editorial changes were requested and the entire cover was redrawn. If you compare this unused version to the published version you can see that a hand was moved in order to better display Batman�s chest logo, Batman�s facial expression was changed, ...

This cover is not a recreation. This is the real deal on DC cover stock from 1976. It is on the same cover stock as my published Chan Detective Comics cover from 1976.

Ernie even drew the �BATMAN� title logo and indicia circles in blue pencil.
