DescriptionI had this posted before but wanted to take another pic of it and re-post.This was the first Zeck piece I picked up (eBay a while back). Included is a pic from the back (of Mike's signature and that the piece is inspired by David Michael Beck's back cover art from GI Joe 1 in 2001. It looks like it may have actually been the second print cover and Wizard poster art Mike is referring to, which you can see in Alfredo Quintero's gallery). Snake Eyes is an absolute favorite of mine and no one drew him better than Zeck. I love this pose, Snake Eyes fully equipped and ready to go. It's also interesting how Zeck drew his mask in this one - I can't say I've ever seen it done quite like this. Yo Joe! Social/Sharing |

Zeck's a true master - the man can do no wrong! Love the clean inks on the Snake Eyes figure, which are a nice juxtaposition to the the spatter in that insignia background. Congrats!

Wow. This is a Fantastic Mike Zeck Snakes Eyes finished rendering. Zeck drew the most memorable G.I. Joe covers without a doubt hands down. He is in fact my favorite artist. I had no idea Zeck was inspired to draw your piece based on the David Michael Beck published piece which I am proud to be the 1st caretaker of. My only regret is that I didn't pick up the Storm Shadow sister piece by Beck. I was to little and to broke to pick up both simultaneously, and when I went back for it, it was gone. Sigh. I wonder who owns it.

Great piece! Mike Zeck drew the visor in the rounded simplified style for his work on the interiors of GI Joe 21 for Devils due.

Thanks Mark! I have to go back and re-read that issue now, I don't remember that.
