DescriptionKing in Black: Gwenom vs Carnage # 1Art by Flaviano Armentaro Written by Seanan McGuire Color by Rico Renzi Marvel Comics - January 2021 I was hooked early after seeing Armentaro and Renzi post some early teaser images working on these pages on Instagram. Armentaro delivered some truly dynamic pencil and inks complete with some ink wash on the page and Rico took things to the next level with the colors. I'm thrilled to add these pages to my collection as they are full of dynamic poses and energy, and BRICKS, ha! These are are the only pages that were done traditionally for issue 3. Since the rest of the issue was done digitally it makes these pages the complete interior artwork and in a way (a very loose interpretation) my first "complete" issue that I own. Social/Sharing |

Spot on! It's easy to see this being adapted into an animated program. Of course I'd love to watch it if they ever did.

Gorgeous King in Black pages! Flaviano has an amazingly fluid style, the drawings almost feel like they're in motion. Great pick-up!

The city has a such a feel on its own as the light plays with how we see it from those soaring above.

Have to agree with Rob...there's a great story board quality to these pages with Flaviano's use of multiple wide angle panels. Big fan of this!
