Karate Kid vs. Puck by Dean�Kotz

I've been a fan of Dean Kotz for a few years now, ever since I first saw his art on Twitter. He does fantastic commissions, and his sequential work is incredible (check out Warlord of Mars Attacks and Black Hammer: Visions #1 for recent great examples). I was super happy to finally get a commission from Dean, and of course I had to ask him to contribute to my "Karate Kid vs." collection. I gave Dean a few options for opponents, and Dean chose Mr. Eugene Judd of Alpha Flight, aka Puck! And wow, did Dean deliver! It looks like we have some sort of multiversal superhero fighting competition going on here, and Puck is using his agility and speed to avoid Karate Kid's attacks. I love this whole thing, from the concept to the audience to the next match screen with Robotman and Mockingbird! Karate Kid and Puck look amazing and the colors are gorgeous! I simply cannot thank Dean enough for his phenomenal work on this commission!

How do I think this fight would go? Well, Eugene is gonna give Val a hard time for sure. Puck is super fast, agile, tough and strong. Puck is also a very skilled fighter. But he's not as skilled as Val Armorr. And Val has spent his whole career with the Legion taking down super-powered opponents. It won't be quick, and Puck will probably land a blow or two, but ultimately Val will take out the Canuck.

It's a great commission idea. I've thought about it and it is always tough to find artists willing to tackle so much going on in a boxing themed drawing.
