X-Men The Animated Series - Dark Phoenix Animation Cel

In celebration for the love of Phoenix, comes an animation cel of her darker side, quite properly named Dark Phoenix.

This cel comes from X-Men The Animated Series, the Dark Phoenix Saga. Voiced by the extremely talented Catherine Disher.

This cel captures Jean’s fiery beauty along side her immense cosmic power, as she flies towards camera. Love seeing the flames starting to surround her and the detail work of having some of the reddish color bleed into her hands and edges.

A magnificent cel that really helped make this very weak character (who fainted and called out to Scott far too often) in the series something much more grandiose. When Jean became the all too powerful Phoenix and her X-Men family had to take her down, it became one of the best storylines in the comics, so well portrayed in this series.
