Description

A classic take on Natasha claiming the “Iron” Throne by artist extraordinaire Manuel Garcia who is no stranger to the lovely lady, having worked on the Black Widow book during the “Kiss or Kill” storyline. I love the small details on the Iron Man helmets as well as the nod to Widow’s roots as both an agent of the Soviet Union and S.H.E.I.L.D.

That Widow is really great! The prelim didn't have this improved head and face, so Garcia must have done it direct on the fly.

So glad you included a shot of the prelim, because it is so night and day. I really love the way he brought the piece to life from that simple concept drawing. Love the pose, love the facial expression, and love the heavy use of blacks. He turned a prelim drawing that, honestly, left me a bit cold, into one of my favorites from your incredible throne theme collection. Congrats buddy!

I forgot to mention it in my write-up, but one of my favorite aspects of the piece is that some of the Iron Man masks actually seem to have a look of horror to them. No small feat to acommplish.
