Star Wars Galaxy 1, Boba Fett & Han Solo Duel on Dagobah Art (1992)-Bo Hampton

This dark moody painting of Boba Fett and Han Solo’s confrontation in planet Dagobah by Bo Hampton was the very second original artwork I acquired for my collection. I believe it was around 1994 when I got this piece. As we all know, there was no confrontation between these two characters on planet Dagobah in any of the Star wars films, but it would’ve been an awesome showdown if there were such a scene. Hampton explained in the Art of Star Wars Galaxy book that his favorite character was Han Solo and he liked planet Dagobah, so it was enjoyable for him to create this duel scene with Han and Fett.

Hampton worked larger than most of the other artists who were commissioned for the Star Wars Galaxy trading cards. The painting was done in gouache and watercolor over pencil work on matte board. It measures 13” X 18”.
