Description
Any art day with Sal Buscema art is the best of art days to me! And this is prime Sal Hulk art on display here - a terrific page even if the green guy isn’t present. Sal and Ernie Chan were such a great team in this run – love the pages they teamed up on.

Also, key is that this is the first full appearance issue of Kropotkin the Great and this is the fist page showing the Marvelous Magician in all his Majestic glory. After winning the John Romita Sr. character design piece for Kropotkin on Dueling Dealers a few months back (also in my gallery), it seems that Kropotkin pieces are magically appearing in my collection (that’s a clue that more are to come). My quest to corner the market on Kropotkin the Great art in time for his MCU debut (day-butt - in my best Snyderman voice) is almost complete (not really serious about the market or MCU, but who knows, right?). This page was also picked up from a YouTube show in the debut of dealmakers of comic art. I hope you enjoy … and send me your Kropotkin art as I am always looking for art from this era (especially his 227 pages).

Such a great piece to go along with your character design!  I love this new show!  Innovative to have a serious show with captivating personalities.  I made a deal with myself that I will watch with gusto this emotional roller coaster of a show.  You can see that it pains one of the dealmakers to have to part with the art because of his passion for the hobby.  Then you can feel the pain of the other dealmaker when something doesn't sell.

Thanks Marcus! Anxious to see where the show goes as well. You are a CAF comment prodigy - not sure how you always seem to comment first on my artwork - your mutant ability has been revealed!

Thanks! Funny, I hadn't pre-typed a claim and it seemed to take forever in my mind to figure out what to type, what format to use, etc. In the end, I guessed on format.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: Sal Buscema and Ernie Chan are the best Hulk art team ever!!!  Congrats on adding another great piece to your collection.

Now you've done it and let the cat out of the bag!  I await the run on Kropotkin the Great artwork that is surely to come.  I wish I'd jumped on the bandwagon sooner myself, but now its too late.  Did you know I've even heard rumors somewhere about his MCU debut  ...

The Hulk is there, he's just on the inside. Kropotkin! I see a trend forming...and I dig it. Fun, minimally recurring characters are great collecting goals. I love the pompous 2nd panel in front of his poster. 70s Marvel magic. Congrats!

You are going to be sitting pretty when Kropotkin The Great becomes the next big thing in Marvel's cinematic universe, Dave! In the meantime, you have those nice Chan inks over Sal's pencils to enjoy- a very nice (but way to short) collaboration on Old Greenskin!

I will admit that I'm actually partial to the Staton inks in the first few issues of Sal's run.  Those first few stories with Doc Sampson, The Abomination, Man-Thing, The Collector, and of course The Defenders, are some of my all time favorite art issues.  But make no mistake, no matter who the inker was (and there were quite a few), this was a truly epic, EPIC, run by Sal.
