13x18.5" artboard features pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) for page 5 of Omega Men #34, published by DC Comics Jan. 1986. Art is by Rich Buckler (1949-2017), best known for his work on Fantastic Four in the mid-1970s and for creating the character Deathlok. Buckler drew virtually every major character at Marvel and DC, often as a cover artist. Art has been inked by Pablo Marcos and features five panels. As this issue featured Sons And Brothers, a crossover story w/the New Teen Titans, Starfire is seen in first (along w/Dick Grayson) and third panels confronting former Omega Men member Auron, who has gone mad and aligned himself w/Starfire's evil sister, Blackfire. Last two panels show Omega Men's ship crashing towards the surface of Tamaran (homeworld of Starfire), w/Ryand'r, Primus, Kalista, Green Man, Yndamaati and Elu floating within the ship. Top margin has inked title and "Buckler" name as well as inked issue/page numbers. DC copyright inkstamp on back. Artboard shows some wear along top margin edge but art remains clean and Exc.
