10x14-3/8" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish Marvel Comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Realtos Salvajes Presenta: Kung Fu #20, which reprints Deadly Hands of Kung Fu Vol. 1 #26 1976 (featuring White Tiger and Bruce Lee content) and was published in Spain by Mundi in 1978, ©1968 Marvel Comics Group. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing Bruce Lee kicking combatants and is a recreation of Marvel's cover art by Malcolm McNeill. Art has two-piece vellum layout overlay which has extensive handwritten Spanish text (including title at top) and was once taped to back of artboard (which has since come loose). Also photocopy used for story title in book. Back of artboard is unmarked. Art remains bright, clean and Exc. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish Marvel comic books, featuring one of Martial Art's most popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish magazine this cover art was created for.
