Star Wars Marvel Comic Book #1, Page #10 (1977)-Howard Chaykin

For me, this is where the Star Wars phenomenon started. I bought the comic off the stands and it led into the last great summer of my childhood.

What a wonderful page, It also brings back so many childhood memories for me as well. I think i was 9 years old when this came out and i still have the Marvel Uk edition of this issue it cost 10p back in 77 or 78 and had a great little cardboard cut-out X-wing fighter as a free gift, unfortunately the X-wing has been missing in combat for many years now Thanks for sharing. How I'd love to own a page from the first 10 issues that serialized 'Episode IV A New Hope' or as it was simply known as then 'STAR WARS'.

This beauty deserves way more comments but you posted it a while back - congrats on picking up this piece of history!
