Description

Always felt this page was a great example of both the mood and storytelling abilities that Ian has. I'm generally impressed across the board with what this guy can do with a page. Looking forward to his follow-up to this book if any single pages get released.

Bertram's illustrative linework sparks and detonates the imagination. Full of splendor in world and story building in every page. This page is staged very well to show how big and massive the man with the ax is compared to the slight panels of the other characters.

PS - I love the lighting and alternating shades in panel 2 and the elongated spiral composition in panel 3. I suppose panel 2 is a spiral as well.
