Rickey Henderson (1990)

Greatest lead off hitter of all time.  This looks it can be used for a Donruss Diamond Kings card.  

Wow, this is terrific, Rick! You really captured the leadoff home run power and the power in those tree trunks we call "legs". Nice colors all around, too, and I'm so glad you put him in the right uniform!

The Billy Ball era was so fun. An eventual disaster for the starting pitchers, but a blast to watch for 2 seasons!

Wow!  Just, wow!  First of all, very impressive display of your painting skills my friend.  This is something I would probably buy if I saw it for sale somewhere.  So, so, many memories for me here.  As I type this, I'm actually glancing over to a Rickey Henderson rookie card slabbed on my desk here.  When my family immigrated to the U.S. over 50 years ago, we landed in the Bay Area a year before the Oakland Athletics won the first of their three consecutive World Series titles.  By the time Rickey joined the team, I was a year removed from High School.  Although they wouldn't win another title for 15 years, I loved going to the ballpark to watch The Swinging A's play.  As I sit here at the onset of collecting Medicare and Social Security, this painting brings back so many joyful memories of years past.  I thank you for allowing me to revisit them.

Rickey had all the tools! He was easily one of my favorite players to watch the game. I am a Reds fan but would watch the A's just to see Rickey, Dave Stewart, and the Bash brothers and company because they were so fun to see what they would do. You have captured his dwing very well here - great work!

Let's go Oakland, clap- clap- clap, clap, clap! Very cool! Love me some A's and Rickey was the best. Thanks for posting this!
