DescriptionOne of the first big art purchases I made at the start of the Pandemic was jumping onto Chris Steven's commission list. Thinking I wouldn't have much chance at art in 2020 (an assumption that was subsequently proven wrong), I decided it was far past time I add some color from Chris.Chris brings such a dynamic and his color choice for the piece was totally unexpected and works so very well with it. The intensity of the escape here is emoted so well in the expression you can almost hear it! Social/Sharing |

Deep and vibrant, the composition is all encompassing full bleed fun of Mister Miracle doing what he does best!

How will he get out of this?! It'll take a miracle :) Love that Chris chose to go with blue for MM vs the red background. He got a chance to show out on his color skills to give us delination with all those hues. Wow. Congrats!

Incredible in every way. I wish Stevens did more published work. Such a joy to look at.

It sounds like you were able to get other art during the pandemic, but I don't know if anything could top this. The color, textures, expressions...everything about this is amazing! Huge congrats!

Chris is a magician with color, and this was an inspired choice for the color palette on this piece. Major congrats Byron!

OMG! What a wonderful commission from Chris Stevens! I love the color choices here, with Mister Miracle in blue against the vibrant orange of the background. In the same way the blue pulls away from the orange, Mister Miracle pulls away from his chains as he escapes another diabolical trap! Chris' skill as a draftsman and an artist really show beautifully here. One of the best of his recent commissions (And they've ALL been terrific)!
