DescriptionHad this one for a year or two already not sure why I didn't post it earlier. Love David's stylization on the early stray bullets pieces. This was to be used for the cover of issue 8 but instead was used in the Somewhere out west HC. It fits great for issue 8 as they both had their weapon of choice. Makes sense if you read the comic. Don't mess with Orson and his broom. 11x17.Social/Sharing |

Beautiful piece! I feel like everyone really focuses on that first arc of Stray Bullets but I really love the Out West storyline. Lapham did a great job lampooning the people of the trailer park while still making them believable sympathetic (almost?) people. I'll definitely have to pick up a Stray Bullets piece at some point.

Yeah this arc really showed you can do crime differently than just in dark night scenes, and Lapham really showed how broken these characters really are. FYI sign up for his newsletter, he often has sales. Had one last weekend that dropped to 60% off!

Definitely a newsletter subscriber I just haven't really settled on what I'm looking for in a SB piece yet and none of the pages he has up have really jumped out to me yet. I've been got up chasing other stuff too. Those prices are insanely low when he runs those sales though!

Yeah sometimes he cuts them to the bone. I got the page from issue 22 for $55! I couldn't pass up an SB page at those prices and I really like the pacing shadows and character interaction on that one. But i hear you even at those prices I go for the pin ups or covers an they usually are sold or pulled form those sales.
