Description

Tolkien's fantasy work is likely my favorite contribution to literature. Donato Giancola released a 200 page book in 2019 filled with his interpretations of scenes from The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion. Titled "Middle-Earth: Journeys in Myth and Legend" the 200 page book features drawings and paintings that take the viewer through a fantastical realm. I am super happy to have added this modest drawing featuring the Rangers of Arnor in action which was published on page 186. The piece is 11" x 14" and watercolor pencil and chalk on toned paper.

Such a cleverly composed illustration. The book is quite wonderful full of paintings which look like they've emerged from the Uffizi collection.
