A Stunning ALL Original Peter Max, (no litho), with an additional original signed Peter Max sketch on the reverse of the frame. Rendered in “bright soft” colors, using watercolors and ink, Max drew a stunning pop art piece depicting an “Angel” with her halo overhead, and wings at her back. Signed “MAX” lower left of the artwork. The piece is presented matted, in a lightly nicked silver/gold toned frame. An additional ink drawing by the artist is on the reverse of the frame depicting a boat and a sun shaped as a heart. The verso sketch is signed by Peter Max “MAX”, lower right of the sketch. A Fantastic Striking All-Original piece.
PROVENANCE:
The art was purchased from an Auction House who was commissioned to sell numerous original illustrations by Peter Max with each piece being authenticated and vetted by the premier auction house. A copy of the original bill of sale, lot number and the description will be included with the piece, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art. The frame also still maintains the original Gallery stamp on the verso of the frame in addition to the second signed sketch by Peter Max.
Note this is NOT a limited edition, this is NOT a lithograph, NOR is this the common Peter Max mixed media one usually sees (which is partially a litho with added embellishements), instead this is 100% a one-of-a-kind original piece by Peter Max
