DescriptionI love this page! Carmine Infantino did the breakdowns, and the great Alfredo Alcala provided the finishing touches in his inimitable style! You feel with the figure working his way through the frozen wastes. In the bottom panel if you had any doubt, you learn his identity by his epithet, "What in Crom's name?!?!"Story: Lair of the Ice Worm Social/Sharing |

It's 1978, comparing Infantino's work to his Nova, Spider-Woman, and his Daredevil issue to this issue can really tell you about his art when moving from each inker and genre. His classical storytelling commands the structure of the page and you can tell what is accomplished visually and within a story. Inked by Alcala, this page turned out tighter and has a illustrative feel and is less abrupt when setting up action.
