Description

Words cannot describe this masterpiece. Troy Nixey absolutely took the baton and ran all the way to a Gold Medal here. The level of detail, the composition, the scale are all jaw-dropping. I feel so lucky to have secured a true gem, and owe Troy and his rep Cam at Inky Knuckles for giving me one of the best pieces in my vast collection.

Nixey's commissions are ridiculously intricate and huge in scale. Following the progress on this online is a great show on its own.

Two thoughts: One, I've never really seen this scene done this way before, so bravo to Nixey on his artistic vision. Two, wow, there is a lot to take in.

Even with all the dead men around, the depiction of the ropes and harpoons makes you feel for the tortured and attacked whale.
